Dear listeners and readers of Soundville,
If you love heavy, powerful, and fiery rock inspired by ’90s grunge, metalcore, with hints of modern sound, cool ideas, concepts, and contemporary vocals, then quickly play ‘Just Gotta Let Go’ by David Garcia, known under the stage name GarcYuh. Do you know what’s the coolest thing about this 11-track album? How it was created. One month (from September 20th to November 29th) of fast, instant inspired work, which shot like an arrow into the world of rock music under the name ‘Just Gotta Let Go.’ There’s something epic, fast, grandiose about creating such inspired albums. Because in ‘Just Gotta Let Go’ there are pure emotions. There’s no extensive year-long polishing, no long deliberations about removing or adding tracks to the tracklist. In ‘Just Gotta Let Go,’ there is a live movement, a soul that was born and was not altered. I think you will also feel this cool sound; perhaps in places, it may seem to you that it sounds raw? But I quickly want to assure you that it is precisely in these rough edges that there is a certain charm.

Eleven tracks intertwine with each other, creating a flawless picture of ’90s grunge rock, in the spirit of Nirvana, and GarcYuh’s vocals are personal, intimate, soul-striking, constantly keeping attention on the tracks. Also, I like this experiment; it’s a bright manifestation of GarcYuh’s creative spirit. Riffs, beats, production, song lyrics, vocals all created by GarcYuh in a ‘vacuum,’ which makes his album ‘Just Gotta Let Go’ a pure manifestation of art.
That’s why I want to capture your attention, dear reader, on this album and invite you to play the first track of the release, ‘Inner Machine.’ Harsh riffs, excellent groove pierce the space and immediately as if return to the hits of the ’90s, when grunge was roaring on the streets. ‘Inner Machine’ is pure rock, pure art with open and clear vocals, adding a touch of a modern approach to track creation. Oh, yes. I like how naturally the vocals sound in this album. As if GarcYuh is challenging the structure of music, its boundaries, and patterns. In ‘Just Gotta Let Go,’ GarcYuh creates his own patterns, lays out his own boundaries, which stretch far beyond the sustainable styles and genres in the industry.
Such an approach you will hear in ‘You’re Not Like Me’, where gloomy gothic guitars blend harmoniously with the drums, creating a sense of an impending storm. The vocals sound clear, precise, as if heralding the beginning of a new phase. I like this adrenaline, energy, mix of harmonies that influence the subconscious, creating a mind-blowing experience. GarcYuh’s voice splits into several low voices, and this almost demonic gloom is picked up by heavy metal groups. However, GarcYuh keeps it grounded thanks to light vocal hooks.
Then in ‘Lifeless Infinity,’ soft guitars create a calming atmosphere, and the light rhythm and stylish lyrics confirm the feeling of a light rock ballad. I love the slight arthouse atmosphere here, when the sound unfolds into an epic gloomy rock sound in the chorus. Meanwhile, in the next track ‘Why am I so Different,’ voluminous riffs with a muffled echo, dark harmonies, and vocals descending to a whisper create a picture of a gloomy gothic kingdom. Damn, this is my favorite track thanks to its hypnotic atmosphere and dark sound.

After the middle of the album, GarcYuh experiments with fast rhythms and incredible speeds. Tracks like ‘Bending The Spoon’ and ‘True Meaning’ with powerful metalcore drums and vocals leaning towards an unstoppable thrash sound are absolutely stunning. The conceptual nature of the tracks makes my heart beat faster, and it’s impossible not to sway to the rhythm under ‘Bending The Spoon.’ The excellent structure of the track with powerful arrangement will appeal to all heavy sound enthusiasts. I want to highlight the track ‘True Meaning’ thanks to the vocals, which seem to add a pinch of modernist flair in the style of Thom Yorke to the heavy metal sound. Unique, cool, incredibly catchy.
The album concludes with the tracks ‘I Cannot See The Light’ and ‘Nothing to Prove,’ offering a modern rock upheaval. In ‘I Cannot See The Light,’ the atmosphere intensifies as if before an epic battle. GarcYuh’s fast vocals become almost a recitative, and powerful groovy guitars blend with unstoppable drums and dense guitar grooves. I could imagine an epic battle with lava erupting from cracks in the ground, split apart by the groove and energy of ‘I Cannot See The Light.’ Flawless!
I like how the final track ‘Nothing to Prove’ acquires hypnotic, passionate, and viscous tones, offering a light respite. But don’t be fooled by the enticing sound of ‘Nothing to Prove’, very soon the melody will unfold, and once again every cell of existence will drown in bright rock sound. This is a bright, flawless, and stylish rock conclusion to the album, which will remain in your memory for a long time thanks to the cool sound and incredible energy. Wow, this is pure fire! You’re listening to it too, right?
Hey GarcYuh! Thank you for releasing such bright, unique rock music. I really liked the dynamics in the album the slow, warming-up beginning and the electroshock second part of the release, completely blowing the roof off. I feel how much inspiration and quick, cool ideas are here, which you were able to effortlessly embody in the sound. I like the sincere expression in the music, and I felt it in your album. This is a huge work that immediately hit the mark. I adore your cool riffs and just wild drums. It was very powerful! I will show everyone your release, let them also listen to the cool groovy rock. I adore it and want more. I’m your fan, yeah!
