Dear listener and reader of Soundville, today I want to tell you about the artist Kuda and his upcoming EP “52 BLUE,” which will be released on all digital platforms on August 31. Before we dive directly into the release, I’d like to share some information about the title, and you’ll immediately understand why it’s so important for Kuda’s release. 52 Blue is the nickname given to a unique whale that emits sounds at the frequency of 52 hertz. This is unusual, as most whales communicate at frequencies ranging from 10 to 40 hertz.
There is so much loneliness here that it becomes unbearably sad. This difference in frequencies suggests that the whale 52 Blue is unheard by anyone in the entire damn ocean, although it can be seen and is among its own kind. Kuda chose this title because his story and worldview are so similar to this tale. Being among people from different walks of life, always in the spotlight and in demand, Kuda’s inner world encounters loneliness. This duality is expressed in each track of the upcoming EP, and I am confident that everyone will be able to feel this for themselves.

Kuda creates a stunningly commercial sound, working in genres such as hip-hop, R&B, autotune, and southern trap flows, which open up opportunities for him to express his deepest emotions through sound. The 5 tracks possess a vivid energy, excellent production, and powerful rap with a sweet and passionate treatment. I had the chance to listen to the EP before its release, and I must admit, it could simply blow your reality away, even if you rarely listen to music of this genre. Flawlessly pumping, passionate, and glamorous, “Lift Off” opens up a marvelous nighttime world. This track blends seductive rhythms, excellent lyrics, and an enticing beat. Here, the gloss and carefreeness of club life and the coolest parties are vividly reflected. It’s as if Kuda decided to start with one of the strongest tracks on the release to captivate attention from the first minutes. I am sure that anyone who experiences this track will want more. In “Lift Off,” the feeling of complete dissolution in the noisy world almost becomes a physical sensation. This is a very passionate piece, which continues in the misty “Get Hiya” and “It Ain’t No Gift” Forming a coherent narrative, these tracks create a solid foundation for the concept. Stunningly pumping lyrics and stylish beats emphasize the energy of a public affluent life, while experimental pads and occasionally breaking sounds hint that all is not as perfect as it may seem.

Indeed, through distortions, gloomy passages, broken structures, and experimental sound, Kuda tells his story. It works exceptionally well because, amidst the atmosphere of flawless commercial production, new and contrasting sensations creep in.
I’m absolutely astounded by “Roll Tha Dice”! I feel how Kuda is baring his soul and worldview. This incredibly pumping track with experimental rhythms, rich in textures and emotions, strikes right to the heart. The excellent lyrics reflect Kuda’s inner world and it becomes impossible to see the world as it was before. You know, I think that such an experimental approach in “Roll Tha Dice” reflects the title of the album. Speaking to us, the listeners, and the surrounding world, through a new combination of instruments and flawless harmony of broken textures, Kuda creates a new frequency. This connecting link makes the release so cool, coherent, and memorable. Infused with doubts, loneliness, and hope, the EP ends on a hypnotic note with “Nothin2Lose”. You will experience the same feeling of ecstasy that I felt from this track. Honestly, I haven’t heard a better or more vibrant finale in a long time. So be sure to mark August 31 on your calendar. And when the EP “52 BLUE” comes out, listen, enjoy, add it to your playlist, and stay tuned.
Hey Kuda! Thank you for releasing such soulful music that reflects your inner world. It’s a big step for a musician to expose their inner demons to the whole world. I am absolutely inspired and amazed by your release! The impeccable production creates such a stylish and commercial sound that I just want to keep the EP on repeat. Just keep making such high-quality and conceptual music, and I will keep telling all my friends about your music. Love it!
