Hello D’Lee! Congratulations on the success of your song ‘Everything Is Fine’ on the chart. First place is truly impressive, and it’s a great honor and joy to see the support of your loyal listeners. Could you share your feelings and impressions of being at the top of the chart?
Thank you so much! Honestly, I’m still taking it all in. When I found out “Everything Is Fine” hit #1, I had to just sit in the moment and let it sink in. It’s a mix of overwhelming gratitude and disbelief—in the best way. I’m so thankful to everyone who’s been listening, streaming, and sharing it. It means the world to feel that connection with so many people through this song.
Could you tell us the story behind the creation of ‘Everything Is Fine’? What inspired you to create this song, and how did your creative process unfold?
“Everything Is Fine” was born during a time when things felt anything but fine. I was going through a rough patch emotionally, and one day I just sat down and let all that energy pour into the lyrics- that feeling of just being tired of not only the daily routines of life but also pretending that everything is fine. There is strength in admitting it! The production process was very intuitive; it started with just a simple melody and built from there. It’s raw and honest, which I think is why people are connecting with it.
Did you ever anticipate that ‘Everything Is Fine’ would receive such an enthusiastic response and support?
Not at all! I believed in the song deeply, but you never really know how something so personal will land with others. I was just hoping it would resonate with someone, somewhere. The response has been beyond anything I imagined. Hearing how it’s helped people or made them feel seen—that’s the biggest reward.
Could you share how your passion for music first ignited and describe your journey in the music industry up to this point?
Music has always been a safe place for me. I grew up surrounded by it—family jam sessions, singing in opry houses as a child, that kind of thing. I only recently began writing songs. I started writing as an outlet more than anything. I never dreamed or even planned on actually bringing the songs to life. It wasn’t until later that I thought, “Maybe someone else might want to hear this too.” Since then, it’s been a journey of small steps, long nights, and learning to trust myself creatively. Every stage has taught me something new.
What are your dreams and aspirations for the future?
I really want to stay in the moment and live this experience! This is what the little girl in me always dreamed of and she deserves to feel this! Furthermore, I’d love to keep growing as an artist and collaborate with other creatives who inspire me. Touring is also high on the list—there’s nothing like sharing your music live with people. And on a deeper level, I just want to keep making songs that speak truth and offer something real to whoever’s listening.
Lastly, what advice would you offer to fellow musicians?
Keep going. Even when it’s hard, even when no one seems to be listening—keep creating. Be honest in your work, and protect your artistic voice. It’s important to surround yourself with people who support your vision, but aren’t afraid to challenge you to grow. Lastly, it’s never too late to reinvent and challenge yourself! Be daring and try something new! Always stay true to yourself, follow your heart, and you just can’t go wrong!
