Dear listeners and readers of Soundville,
I have found something truly unusual and amazing for you. Something that can disconnect you from reality and let you enjoy unique, at times complex music. But it is this very complexity and brightness that make the music so recognizable and genuinely cool. I want to introduce you to EdHarvest, a musician, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Puerto Rico, who has been exploring different genres, instruments, and atmospheres since early childhood. His story began at age 4, when he picked up a saxophone for the first time, and that became a turning point in his life, eventually leading him to study guitar, bass, drums, vocals. And all of this led him to Berklee.
And you know, EdHarvest’s talent for mastering multiple instruments truly blossoms in his debut album ‘Cosecha’. He has already released several singles, warming up the audience and reaching new listeners around the world. But it is with his 13-track debut album ‘Cosecha’ that he reveals his unmistakable and unique style. Yes, it is a rock album, but within it different styles and genres merge, both in the arrangement and the vocals. And ‘Cosecha’ is a perfect starting point for discovering unique music, the real talent of EdHarvest, and diving into complex, fresh genres like jazz, rock, and Puerto Rican rhythms that reflect the energy and passion of EdHarvest’s music. I suggest you take a day off and enjoy the stunning album ‘Cosecha’. I’d like to highlight a few tracks that moved me the most. Get ready, it’s about to get hot.

The album ‘Cosecha’ undoubtedly carries a concept and a clear idea. It opens with the first track ‘Cosecha (Prólogo)’, which also serves as a prologue to a whole story that will unfold in your headphones. I could compare it to a theatrical performance. EdHarvest kicks off the album with vibrant jazz. This is a technically complex introduction that gives no hint of what comes next, because the following track ‘Intro’ is a bright, fiery, and frankly explosive piece lasting just 51 seconds. And as you move from one track to the next, you will barely notice when ‘Furia’ begins, everything flows so smoothly and creates a sense of a continuous show.
I really like the way ‘Furia’ sounds. It is flawless, dynamic rock with groovy, punchy guitars, executed in the best traditions of the genre. Each instrument provokes the others, creating the energy of a real rock show. I was completely charmed by the playful track ‘Amor Mío’, a bright, acoustic, romantic ballad with a vivid rhythm and theatrical vocals. The Puerto Rican atmosphere is unmistakable here, and I cannot imagine a more vibrant track to transport me to a cozy patio, where EdHarvest and his band sit in a semicircle, playing wonderful music that makes you want to sway along and enjoy the lightness. But EdHarvest’s album is full of surprises, and one of those surprises is the sudden shift in rhythm and genre within the track. What starts as a tender, rhythmic melody suddenly transitions into flawless rock, and this genre-blending continues, constantly surprising with its harmonious flow. An outstanding track!
And already in the next one, ‘Historia de un Amor’, the melody evolves into a rock ballad with a heartfelt story of love. This track is light, dramatic, and perfect for any vivid playlist filled with songs that let you disconnect from reality and fully immerse yourself in the lyrics. It is deeply cinematic, evoking images and memories, which makes it very personal for me. Definitely one of my favorite tracks on the album! If you enjoy unusual and vibrant tracks, then the song ‘Tus Ojos Verdes’ is exactly what you need. Here, a unique rhythm blends with rock guitars and a groovy atmosphere, while the distinctive spoken delivery brings brightness and freshness. This is the kind of track that could fuel the best party, letting you enjoy every beat. The bright saxophone adds a playful and energetic vibe. EdHarvest mixes styles and genres in a way that feels completely his own. In ‘Cosecha’, each track has its own atmosphere. The blend of different genres allows each one to shine and bring its own soul to the song. Flawless!

While listening to the album, you get the sense that EdHarvest is working with technically complex music, a rich fusion of genres that do not easily fit together. Yet he does this effortlessly, while speaking about familiar themes of relationships, love, and life, which makes me think that no matter how complicated life may seem, there is a way to approach it with ease. That is a choice. In the track ‘Lento’, the atmosphere nudges you to leave your worries behind, disconnect from your problems, and simply enjoy this moment in real life. Effortless and stylish. That is exactly the feeling the album closes with. The final track ‘Libre al Fin’ brings this brightness, groove, and freedom. Turn up the volume to feel the stunning rhythm, the deep bass, and the unique vocals in this song. If you are looking for a track that lets you enjoy every moment, this is the one. It ends the album on a very positive, uplifting note. And it sticks with you. It is great, because albums like this are the ones you want to come back to, to relisten, to enjoy again, and each time discover something new in the sound. And ‘Cosecha’ makes that possible!
I would like to highlight the final track ‘Cosecha (Epílogo)’, which also serves as the epilogue. It feels like the credits, with a hint of what is yet to come. A mysterious perspective unfolds, suggesting that we will hear a lot more new music from EdHarvest, new styles, new genre mixes. And I believe that EdHarvest has the power to reshape even the familiar sound we are used to. Whoa. ‘Cosecha’ is a very cool and vibrant album. Be sure to add your favorite tracks to your playlist and follow EdHarvest so you do not miss more great and unique music.
Hey EdHarvest! Thank you for releasing such unique and complex music. When I listened to your album, I could not even predict what would come next in each track, and that is why I was surprised every time. With every new turn I felt inspired. There is a very deep feeling in your music that fills the heart while listening to the songs. It is a very warm and light feeling that you want to share with others. Without a doubt, this is the mark of music created with great inspiration and love for the craft. It is clear that a lot of effort went into making ‘Cosecha’, and that is incredibly valuable! I will definitely show this album to everyone so they can also listen to amazing music that can change everything around. I love it, and I want more!
With much love,
Soundville
