Dear listeners and readers of Soundville,
I want to share with you the incredible M4TR and his new album ‘Love Is The Revolution’, which spans synthpop, disco, funk, and a touch of retrofuturism, love, and hope. But first, let me introduce M4TR. M4TR (Music 4 The Revolution) is the activist, genre-blurring project led by songwriter and producer AJ Solaris. He is known for his vivid style and unique concept, with music that always walks the edge while perfectly balancing retro vibes and a modern vision of the future. This comes through in his blend of retro disco and futuristic electronics, in the lyrics, vocals, and the visual design of his releases.

M4TR, to be honest, has always stood out with a cool, genre-mixed sound. But this new album? This is his most ambitious and I would even say romantic album to date. While earlier releases leaned toward social commentary and political references, ‘Love Is The Revolution’ is about love. Twelve tracks gently and carefully guide the listener into love in all its tangled, beautiful, and suffocating forms. Romantic, obsessive, grieving, collective, confused, it is all there in ‘Love Is The Revolution’. I could describe it like this, as if you could run full-speed under the neon lights of the city with a wide smile on your face and a bleeding, broken heart no one knows about. I invite you to drop everything right now and enjoy the stunning ‘Love Is The Revolution’.
The first track, ‘Let Love Turn This World Around’, immediately sets a stirring and cozy tone, with slick guitars, bright vocals, and excellent backing harmonies. This is a track that paints the atmosphere in warm disco hues, full of lights and the shimmer of a mirror ball. You want to dance, sway, feel the groove. Flawless. I have to highlight ‘The Spektre’, with its bold rock guitars in the intro that shift into a stylish blend of funk and disco. The vocals run through a processor, adding a futuristic touch. This track shows M4TR as an innovator, someone who builds a fresh sound out of long-familiar genres.
In ‘No Tomorrow’, the tenderness and romance of love are revealed through soft strings, while sharper emotions come through via autotune and warped textures. This is one of the most cosmic and radiant tracks, one you fall for from the very first second. It is like walking through a dull night city and suddenly spotting an inviting club ahead, glowing, magnetic, unexpectedly beautiful, and it changes everything. ‘Siren Song’ is absolutely captivating, with a bold rhythm, unique percussion, and vibrant harmonies. I like the sharper, almost cosmical sound. This track feels completely otherworldly, cozy and cool, as if it transports you to another planet, one that is stunningly attractive, and maybe dangerous too. Could it be an allegory for love? I think yes. ‘Siren Song’ holds the feeling of discovering a new world, the joy and the risk. Love changes how we see reality, makes life brighter, but also sometimes unpredictable.

And then comes ‘Life Without Her’. Bright, impeccable, and filled with freedom. M4TR carries us through whirlwinds of time and emotion in this unique disco synth track. The amazingly danceable mood never lets go until the very last beat. Wow! Stunning! I am absolutely enchanted by the track ‘Love Is The Revolution’, which brings a unique Eastern flavor to the album, playful ritualistic drums, almost Spanish-sounding guitars, and a sense of bright, vibrant motion. This blend of Eastern textures and fresh vocal delivery beautifully captures a feeling of release or a life change that turned out for the better. It is dazzling, groovy, and full of movement.
Maybe that is why the closing track ‘Polaris’ feels like an intergalactic piece, opening with soft synth ambient layers and unfolding into a romantic song. This track feels like a confession, like love itself. And like hope, a kind that reaches far beyond the visible universe. Impeccable, bold, and stunning. You hear it too, right? Be sure to follow the artist so you do not miss any of the next unique galactic releases, and add your favorite tracks to your playlist to stay connected to M4TR’s journey.
Hey M4TR! Thank you for releasing such incredible music. I absolutely loved the album ‘Love Is The Revolution’, with its unique mix of styles, sounds, concepts, and that incredible energy. Each track has its own soul and power that you feel while listening. There is so much inspiration here, such a rich and galactic sound, bursting with color and atmosphere. I was completely blown away by the genre mix, it opened up a new side of music for me that I had never heard before. And that is amazing. I am definitely going to share this release with everyone, they need to hear how great this music is. It is unbelievably cool! I love it and I am your fan!
