What is ‘H0M3’? Ryy0 Releases an Album That Became a Revelation for the Indie Scene

Dear listeners and readers of SoundVille,

I’d love to share with you the debut album ‘H0M3’ by Ryy0. It’s a heartfelt release made up of ten tracks, where you can hear Ryy0’s soul and the story of his past two years, a period that changed his life rapidly, filled it with reflection, growth, pain and love. Ryy0 approached the concept of ‘H0M3’ with deep intimacy, capturing moments and experiences that shaped him and pushed him toward personal growth. It’s incredibly moving, and not every artist has the courage to share something this honest and personal with the world. It’s one thing to write songs and leave them in a drafts folder, it’s another to do what Ryy0 did: build everything from the ground up, every chord, every lyric, every instrument, and pour himself fully into it, then let it go and show it to the world.

I love when artists are capable of making such bold moves, because it speaks to their inner world, and at the same time, it can help the listener overcome their own internal barriers. ‘H0M3’ by Ryy0 carries a healing quality, showing through personal experience that good things are possible even when it seems like there’s no way forward. And that’s why I’d love to move straight into listening to the most touching tracks on the album and share this remarkable story with you.

The album opens with the first track ‘the end’, a bright blend of guitars, great rhythm, and Ryy0’s clear voice, processed in the best traditions of indie, giving the whole thing a warm, intimate tone. ‘the end’ is about coming back to the parental home and living with family. I love how the harmonies shift, how the energy and vocals evolve, sometimes relaxed and easy, then suddenly rising into falsetto, or falling into a soft, raspy lower register. It makes the track feel incredibly cozy and inviting. Then comes ‘h0m3’, a reflection on what home really means to Ryy0. I love that it sounds like a bright college-rock anthem, full of restless freedom, a burning desire to break out, to keep moving forward toward the future and dreams without looking back. It’s unbelievably cool!

Ryy0 establishes a distinct dynamic that starts to emerge closer to the middle of the album. In ‘in their own time’, for example, the mood is defined by steady tones, strict cold rhythms, and icy guitars. But in ‘i’ll find my way?’, the melody turns more minimalist, compressed, and the vocals dissolve into choirs, amplifying that bleak, stripped-down atmosphere. Then comes ‘upside’, and the album shifts completely. ‘upside’ is an instrumental track where the melody takes on a more hopeful, light quality, gains positive tones, and the guitar sounds spacious thanks to a soft, almost tangibly fluffy echo, which, for me, feels like a new breath opening up or the arrival of strength that simply hadn’t existed before or maybe it had, but no one knew it until now.

At the same time, the melody stays quite minimalistic compared to earlier tracks, maybe that’s where the sense of openness comes from. Or the feeling of flowers blooming in conditions where blooming normally wouldn’t happen, and that becomes a symbol of something new, a hopeful path that actually matters. That’s why I can’t skip the next track, ‘if not now’. Its crisp, bright rhythm and vocals flow in perfect sync with the melody, creating a powerful drive. While listening to ‘if not now’, with all its vivid dynamics, sharp lyrics, and nonstop surge of energy, I felt this inner urge to do something, to move forward, to keep going without stopping. That’s why I recommend this track to everyone, especially if you’re feeling drained or stuck inside.

‘her own light’ hits in a completely different way. It’s tender, emotionally rich, filled with care and caution every beat, every line carries this deep sense of love and attention. The track explores the struggles of Ryy0’s fiancée, as the eldest daughter of immigrant parents. And when I hear those lyrics, so personal and intimate, I feel like I’ve been in a similar space before. That recognition struck me deeply. Sometimes there are themes that strike a deeper chord than others, and for me, ‘her own light’ was exactly that kind of track, the one that brought a lump to my throat. But on the other hand, I also felt a gentle sense of unity, and that’s comforting. The final track, ‘the beginning’, with its telling title, closes the album while simultaneously serving as a new start. It’s a sharp conceptual move that instantly reframes the album’s entire narrative.

Think back to the first track, ‘the end’, and suddenly the whole structure unfolds as a deeper story, where what came before isn’t always the true beginning of life, or of the moments that actually bring a sense of home and belonging. I love how that idea comes through in ‘the beginning’ with its swaying guitars, flawless rhythm, and stunning vocals, rounding off the album on a bright, uplifting note. And honestly, after listening to ‘H0M3’, it feels like I’ve just watched a full-length film. It’s the kind of experience that leaves you inspired. You feel it too, right? That was something special. Make sure to add your favorite tracks to your playlists and follow Ryy0, you won’t want to miss more of this warm, gripping music. I’m obsessed.

Hey Ryy0! Thank you for releasing such intimate and wonderful music. This is really a big step that takes a lot of inner strength and drive. I really enjoyed the concept of the album, and to be honest, it felt so personal that some moments touched me deeply. I feel like this is the kind of album you can listen to again and again, especially in those moments when it seems like maybe nothing will ever change. And ‘H0M3’ shows that everything will be okay. I liked the style the album is built in, how it changes and transforms, reflecting different emotions and stages of life. That takes a huge amount of work, and I’ll definitely show your release to absolutely everyone so they can also hear such conceptual, thoughtful music. I truly love it, and I’m your fan!
