Dear listeners and readers of Soundville,
I suggest you take a moment today to disconnect from your usual music and daily routine and try to feel and discover Elise Trouw, her new single ‘All You Need Is Lust’ from the upcoming second album ‘The Diary of Elon Lust’. But before we move on to the single and the album, let’s talk a bit about Elise Trouw herself. Are you ready? Because this is going to be something truly new.

Elise Trouw creates very unique and conceptual music, mixing airy jazz chords, modern pop vocals, dream pop sound, and dark pop vibes. She has long proven herself on the music scene. Her debut album ‘Unraveling’ gave her the opportunity to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and join a two week arena tour with Incubus. Elise Trouw also became known on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, gathering millions of views by creating electronic music with looping.
Being a multi instrumentalist and visual artist, Elise Trouw aims for every release to carry a conceptual idea and artistic meaning. For example, her upcoming album ‘The Diary of Elon Lust’ is a 14 track depiction of the life of a twenty year old man named Elon, completely drowned in his own perfection, his toxic and beautiful charm, and perhaps already used to getting everything he wants, and everyone he wants. However, what interested me the most is that the tracks on the album will be made from phrases of men Elise Trouw has heard throughout her life, as well as from the women around her. It sounds like it will feel almost painfully familiar.

You know, what’s also interesting is that this is actually satire and irony in one bottle. Don’t expect anything literal or word-for-word from satire. It’s always a strikingly distorted, sometimes comical depiction of human flaws. In this context, the concept of ‘The Diary of Elon Lust’ is about the patriarchy of the modern world, the music industry, and what a person faces in this life, questions of equality, gender, understanding, acceptance, and what it means to be a woman in this patriarchal world. And all of that is shown through the prism of deliberate satirical distortion. Difficult. Fascinating. Cool.
The album ‘The Diary of Elon Lust’ comes out on February 13, 2026, but Elise Trouw is already delighting her listeners with the first tracks from the upcoming release. ‘All You Need Is Lust’ is the first single. I like how the track begins, slowly unfolding from airy synth tones and then, blending into a light synth pop sound with slightly distorted harmonies, Elise Trouw’s vocals appear. The melody flows gently and weightlessly, unfolding slowly and creating the feeling of another atmosphere, a new cosmic world through soft electronic treatment of the voice.

‘All You Need Is Lust’ sounds refreshingly new within the pop electronic genre. There’s something slightly experimental about it, as if it carries a hint of intentional incompleteness. On one hand, it’s familiar electropop, modern and commercial, but on the other, it bears that unmistakable hallmark of Elise Trouw’s music and her singular vision of sound. I highly recommend watching the music video for ‘All You Need Is Lust’, a Bosch‑inspired visual directed by Trouw herself. It’s stunningly well done and reflects the whole release’s concept: amazing imagery, experimental costumes for the dancers, oversized breasts, cherry heads, identical faces resembling inflatable dolls.
On one hand, it looks quite fun, interesting, unusual. Well, you know, huge breasts, berries, feet, and blackberries whose juice is wiped off swollen lips. Fragmented phrases, half‑spoken hints and implications it’s a daring and funny approach. But at the same time, it feels disturbingly real. Disturbingly uneasy. A kind of reality hiding beneath the mask of an exaggerated sense of joy: that everyone likes everything, the fruit juice is delicious, everyone should want and love the berries, and that this is simply how the world should be. And at the center stands Elon, the main character… It leaves you with the feeling that what you’re seeing on screen runs much deeper than it might seem at first glance. That’s why it hooks you and draws incredible curiosity about what’s happening. I want to know what comes next, what this main character Elon is hiding, and what he might reveal. You’re intrigued too, right?
I recommend you definitely add the song ‘All You Need Is Lust’ to your playlist and follow Elise Trouw so you don’t miss the new singles that will lead to the release of the album ‘The Diary of Elon Lust’ on February 13 next year. On Valentine’s Day, by the way, funny when you think about the album’s concept! I think it’s going to be really cool, and Elise Trouw will prepare something truly incredible for us.
Hi, Elise Trouw! Thank you for releasing such amazing and unique music. I was incredibly taken by the concept and atmosphere of your release. ‘All You Need Is Lust’ sounds stunning, perfect production! I love that there’s a slight distortion in the harmonies, it really grabs attention. Ah, the pink suit and the cold gloves! I’m obsessed! This really interested me. You know, it’s like a series that comes out episode by episode, only in this case, single by single. And when the chain of singles ends with the release of the album ‘The Diary of Elon Lust’, it will be something as spectacular as possible! I will definitely show your release to absolutely everyone so they can listen to such interesting and vibrant music. I love it and I want more. I’m your fan!
With much love,
