Isn’t this exactly the energy and drive we all wait for before the New Year? Amazing! Returning to the classics, ‘Dreamer’, an excellent cover performed by Amelina, gives the album a new mood. The recent energy and drive that filled the album are no longer here. ‘Dreamer’ adds a feeling of hope, letting go of the past, and even the warmth of a cozy evening. Everything around seems to pause in anticipation of the New Year. Amelina managed to keep the melodic, mysterious, and cinematic quality of the track, which definitely worked perfectly for me.
I like how ‘DJ Play a Christmas Song’ changes the game, leaving melancholy behind and diving straight into a party in full swing. The track is performed in two languages, English and Spanish, which allows you to feel Amelina’s music in a new way. Her music has no borders or language barriers, even if you don’t speak these languages, you can still feel Amelina’s music. The EP ends with a cover version of the track ‘Happy New Year’, featuring Anastasia Lasko. And if you think you can just sit still while listening to this one, oh, my friend, you’re mistaken! Amelina has created her own version of the famous ‘Happy New Year’, filling it with a fiery rhythm so that every beat is charged with pure dance energy.
