There’s something slightly absurd about how humanity spent millennia searching for the foundation of existence, finding it in fire, numbers, ideas, atoms, until one person lay down on the corridor floor at four in the morning and said: here it is. The air vent. Its name is silent collision.
Philosophy has long known an awkward secret: the most fundamental things simply exist quietly and unnoticed. Air doesn’t try to prove its existence. Time doesn’t ask for attention. The hum in the walls doesn’t wait to be noticed. It simply is and has always been, while we keep searching for something more important. In the same way, the air vent and its constant hum became a powerful source of inspiration for silent collision, leading to the release of the EP ‘Air Vent Lullabies,’ a six-track collection of hypnotic ambient and airy electronics that slows time down and invites you to pause, breathe, and truly feel the moment. I invite you right now to allow yourself something completely unique. Stop. Listen to the album ‘Air Vent Lullabies’ by silent collision. Trust me, its 6 tracks will create an incredible atmosphere for you.

The EP opens with the track ‘Look At The Sky.’ Delicate, hazy electronics and ambient. Here silent collision used samples from the song ‘A Light Emerges’ off the debut album. This adds a familiar, stylish sound with notes of fresh inspiration. If you need a sound that creates something absolutely new and captivating for you, then ‘Look At The Sky’ is your track. Then comes ‘Exhale, Inhale,’ a deep ambient track that envelops the space with a dense canvas, while flickering sounds, percussion, and the gentle sway of rippling audio completely transform the atmosphere. It features samples from silent collision’s upcoming releases planned for summer 2026. Playing with time? It’s almost a paradox: music from the future reworked into the music of the present. Time behaves strangely here, and it does so correctly.

I like how the dark space and the veil of gloomy ambient descend on the shoulders with the track ‘With The Stars’. This electronics is really created to change the sound of your life and create an almost comic presence. It is amazing, and scary beautiful. If you close your eyes, you can feel how ‘With The Stars’ almost hypnotizes and lulls. Here, direct audio samples from the song ‘Storms Within Stillness’ are used, creating a special connection between silent collision releases.
‘Empty Hallway, 4:14am’ is the most cinematic track in the release, reflecting the EP’s concept. Here silent collision deliberately included the hum of the air vent in the mix. This quiet hum creates a special atmosphere, almost of enclosed space, interrupted only by a quiet endless wave of sound. There is something undeniably poetic and beautiful in this. ‘Air Vent Lullaby’ is a slowly building ambient track. The track features samples from silent collision’s future releases, creating a time loop that silent collision stretches through time and connects them. This is one of my favorite tracks on the release due to its darkness and atmosphere of isolation.

The final ‘Darkness Within Darkness,’ a completely new composition by silent collision, with soft keys and long decaying echo from them, returns to a more serene and safe atmosphere. This is a warm conclusion to the release that sounds like an ellipsis. I could compare ‘Darkness Within Darkness’ to pre-dawn fog that dissolves in the warmth of sun rays, with only cold dew reminding of the night fog. This is a wonderful track with orchestral elements leaving behind a very cinematic and aesthetic atmosphere.
‘Air Vent Lullabies’ is an amazing EP that through 6 tracks creates various atmospheres, inspired by the moment when the mind is in no hurry, in the moment of true inspiration. ‘Air Vent Lullabies’ sounds unique and for each listener can create their own special experience. So be sure to add your favorite tracks from it to your playlist and follow silent collision to not miss even more wonderful releases.
Heey silent collision! Thank you for releasing such deep and unique music. When I listened to ‘Air Vent Lullabies,’ I experienced a multitude of feelings completely unlike each other.
