Spencer Krug spent two decades in constant movement between Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown and Moonface, accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and a reputation as one of the most consistent songwriters of his generation. The album Same Fangs will be released on all platforms on May 15, and today, March 24, his first advance single, ‘Timebomb,’ came out.

‘Timebomb’ opens the release with the directness characteristic of Krug. The song dissects the romanticization of tour life from the inside, with bitter self-irony. This is an analog track, with the musician’s clean voice dissolving into echo, thick piano, deliberately processed. This creates a very atmospheric sound, close to dark melancholy. There is something mysterious in the soft harmony of voices and the dynamics that exist in ‘Timebomb’. Absolutely recommend everyone to listen to it! This is very cool!
