Dear listeners of awesome progressive rock sound. Vinyl Floor is a duo of brothers Thomas Charlie Pedersen and Daniel Pedersen, founded in Copenhagen in 2007. For more than 10 years, the musicians have played over 150 shows, with tours in Japan, Germany and the UK. And you know what. And today we will talk about ‘Balancing Act’. It is the sixth studio album by Vinyl Floor, released on all major platforms, as well as on CD and vinyl, on February 27, 2026. Do you know what distinguishes the album? The genre.

The album sounds incredibly atmospheric because of the light and melodic progressive rock with orchestral elements. I like that invited musicians took part in the creation of the album. For example, the wind parts were performed by Bebe Risenfors, and the string parts were performed by Christian Ellegaard from the Danish Symphony Orchestra.
Thirteen tracks create a single story, in which each song brings its own shade to the overall picture of the sound. In ‘Balancing Act’ there are notes of nostalgia and swaying rock sound of long gone years. And you know what especially creates the atmosphere? The light strings and the slow vocals. Love it! If you need an album that is filled with a cozy sound, under which you can immerse yourself in another hypnotic world, then ‘Balancing Act’ by Vinyl Floor is your choice. Absolutely recommend listening!
