With “Little Death,” Steady Sun Add a New Layer to Their Psychedelic Sound

Steady Sun have added another song to the collection of psychedelic music. The new track, “Little Death”, starts with light motifs, more in the spirit of Blur and Gorillaz. Slight distortions in the vocals and melody perfectly complement the trance-like atmosphere.

The song avoids harsh acid elements, although there are some unexpected inserts. And they stand out from the overall sound. It is worth being prepared for this, as these inserts will pull you back out of the relaxed state.

If this was an attempt to reflect the state of waking up at the very last moment before falling asleep, then it succeeded. What came as a complete surprise was the double bass with a Nordic sound at the end. As the saying goes, nothing is clear, but it is very interesting.

Overall, “Little Death” can be recommended to fans of the genre, since it has everything needed: trance-like immersion, unexpected turns, and mysteries.
