Got something to say about music? SoundVille is always on the lookout for new voices: writers, critics, and obsessive playlist-makers who want to help us dig up the next great indie sound.
If you live and breathe music journalism (or just can’t stop talking about the new EP everyone’s sleeping on), we want to hear from you.
We publish across a few different lanes, and we’re happy to consider pitches for any of them:
Reviews: Albums, singles, and EPs from indie and emerging artists across genres.
Interviews & Gossip Corner: Candid conversations with artists about their music, their process, and the stories behind the songs.
Music Shake: Fresh tracks and under-the-radar artists worth adding to the playlist.
Features & Essays: Trend pieces, scene spotlights, or think-pieces on where indie music is headed.
Breakout Artists: Profiles on new names we should all be watching.
If you have an idea that doesn’t fit neatly into any of these, pitch it anyway. We’re always open to something that surprises us.
Original content, written specifically for SoundVille. Nothing recycled or already published elsewhere.
Correct facts: artist names, release dates, credits. We will check
A short bio (a couple of sentences) telling us who you are and, if relevant, links to anything you’ve written before.
Send us a short note introducing yourself and what you’re interested in covering. Include one or two concrete pitch ideas: a specific artist, release, or story, not just a genre you like. If you have writing samples or links to previous work, drop them in.
Email your pitch to soundvilleblog@gmail.com with “Write For Us” in the subject line. We read everything, even if it takes us a little while to reply. Expect to hear back within about a week. We can’t promise every pitch will run, but every one gets a real read.
Welcome to SoundVille News, where every note is
a story waiting to be told
