One incredibly deep song is worth recommending, “One More Thing To Say”. It’s a track by the band The Wheel Workers. This single became a real discovery, musically speaking.

Well, at least over the past few days, that’s for sure. Why? Because the band recorded the track drawing on their own archival recordings. They started writing the song even before the band broke up in 2006, and only finished it now, twenty years later.

The band took what they already had on hand and added new parts to it, and what came out in the end is a kind of hybrid of past and present.

The track itself starts out spacious. Very much so, actually. Almost cinematic. But at some point everything suddenly shifts into a dense, rhythmic groove with a solid bass line and keys. And when the guitar chords and multi-part harmonies come in at the end, it just gives chills of pure delight.

And yes, this is the lead single off the upcoming sixteen-song album, the very one the band didn’t manage to finish back in 2006. So listeners are very (very) much encouraged to give it all a listen.
