Audren Came Back From Silence with Her New LP ‘Think Freedom’

David Guetta once told Audren she makes music for musicians. And her new 11-track album, ‘Think Freedom,’ suggests she took it as a mission statement. The arrangements here are dense, deliberate, layered by session players whose résumés span Ray Charles to Marcus Miller’s orbit, and you can hear every dollar of that experience in the mix.

Yet nothing feels clinical. The album carries the warmth of a household project, literally: guitarist and producer Chris Rime, daughters Sydney and Jemily all appear across the tracklist, and that familial intimacy bleeds into the sound. ‘Smile, People Smile!’ is my favorite moment on the album, and the one I’d hand to anyone asking what Audren actually sounds like. It’s where the record finds its purest frequency!

Hi! Thanks for releasing such delicate albums. This is a truly captivating release that I recommend to everyone! I love it and want more.
