You know, The Real McKenzies have been around since 1992 and are still dominating the rock scene, and founder and perpetual driving force Paul McKenzie has spent three decades playing stages from smoky pubs to festival grounds alongside Metallica and Rancid.
‘On Yer Bike’ is thirteen tracks that shuffle between love, literature, history and pure absurdity, while sounding like the band just burst in from the cold and immediately picked up their instruments. The bagpipes cut through the air like a North Sea wind, the drums hit with real muscle, and the choruses are written precisely to be shouted together. And honestly, it doesn’t matter whether you’re standing in a cramped club or barely standing at the bar. This one always hits just right. Highly recommended!
