I recently listened to ‘Rewind’ by the indie band Candytuft. The track impressed me a lot. It evoked a strong sense of nostalgia, bright and very pleasant. From the very first seconds, ‘Rewind’ hooks you with its almost hypnotic sound.

In terms of overall vibe, surprisingly, it leans more toward light psychedelic rock. I would even say it is exactly that, but the dream pop elements in the track change the picture. Candytuft is more of an indie rock band. But whatever you call it, ‘Rewind’ felt to me like I was listening to the soundtrack of my own memories.

Pleasant ones, of course. I was also really struck by how delicately the band managed to weave the guitar parts into the subdued vocals and vice versa. Nothing pulls attention to itself, everything works in tandem. I was also really drawn to the synth pads and the groove of the rhythm section.

If you are looking for a track that helps you gather your thoughts and spend some time alone with them, definitely give ‘Rewind’ a chance. Or even two. I am sure you will like it as much as I did!
