I want to recommend a track that’s become my absolute favorite this week. It’s “Corazón de León”, recorded fairly recently by indie rock band ZIRO. I stumbled onto it completely by accident – hit play, and it pulled me in instantly. As deep as a song can possibly pull you in, honestly.

The band comes from Spain’s Zaragoza, and in their music, believe it or not, you can feel all this local sunshine: the band skillfully weaves unconventional touches into the already familiar indie rock sound, which makes their sound, dare I say, unique. Take, for example, the dynamics: the track develops very smoothly, gradually acquiring new details and arrangements. Usually in this genre everything is built on one template, but here – it’s the opposite.
“Corazón de León” also carries this incredible life-affirming energy. The title alone (“Lionheart”) sets the tone before you even hear a note. It’s a track about courage and about holding onto hope. Highly recommend adding Corazón de León to your playlist.
