Deep Jimi Have Done the Impossible — ‘Degeneration’ Is the Rock Album an Entire Generation Has Been Craving

Tired of glamorized rock where there are more rhinestones than notes? Then the album ‘Degeneration’ by Deep Jimi will pleasantly surprise you, lifting your mood considerably. If you truly believe in yourself, dreaming of something greater, then I advise you to listen to an album in which a primordial rock delivery has been concentrated, an atmosphere that you surely miss.
It is worth mentioning that Deep Jimi made themselves known back in the ’90s, signing a contract with Atco/EastWest. During that time, the musicians proved themselves so much that they managed to break free from captivity, standing firm against innovations. Their music is rock turned inside out. It is simply impossible to believe in its power, yet the music truly withstood all attempts to tame the rock I know so well, to sprinkle it with glitter, to wrap it in rhinestones. In this album, I found a rampage of elements, amazing notes, magnificent effects that modern musicians are gradually abandoning in favor of formatted, glamorously beautiful music in order to conquer social media.

Deep Jimi categorically did not take that path, creating the most magnificent tracks with the most vivid effects without excessive processing. Here are the tracks that I loved more than anything in the world. The first track ‘Jail’ insistently burst into my space, uncompromisingly making itself known. Pure, forceful rock that makes the blood boil. The unbridled energy of the track pulls you out of the suffocating embrace of melancholy, worries and negative emotions within mere seconds. The energy of such a track seems insane, piercing through the space in which absolutely no one will be bored. The track reminded me of skiing down a slope at simply furious speed or yacht racing for the grand prize. This track brings you to life, makes you move, fight, and cope with difficulties. Impeccable!

‘It’s Alright’ continued the theme of pure rock, adding a bit of garage glamor to it. This is where the vocals really open up, flirting with blues motifs. And although in terms of instruments this is the purest rock with the most powerful guitar sound, a real cry of the soul, making you sweep away practically everything in your path. This is already a rampage of oceans, surges of waves foretelling a real storm, a rampage of emotions, bright impressions. I think that passions are heating up, and this is felt very strongly in the music, but it is time for me to move on.

One of my favorite tracks ‘Rock’n’Roll (a constant return)’ turned out to be spirited, inviting me into simply furious positivity. It filled me with insane fun as at a disco with roller skates, a cold shower, popcorn in hand, when even in the gloomiest of moods you incredibly want to laugh, have fun, pouring out a sea of energy. I had not had that much fun in a long time as I did after this perfect track. It even reminded me of wild fun in a thunderstorm, when you really want to show inner strength, courage, and achieve what you desire so much.

After the bright fun, the track ‘Freewill’ invited me to relax a little. Here the rock already sounded like a ballad, rich, saturated, inviting a lazily pleasant contemplation in which a simply magical power is felt. This is a real power with a light touch of rusty guitars, penetrating into every cell, creating a brilliant mood.

The track that gives the album its title, ‘My Degeneration’, began with a beautiful acoustic introduction. Against the rich, pulsating music, a sound wave of incredible power unfolds, gradually interweaving with long pauses and powerful vocal transitions. A true protest, a rebellion against uncomfortable rules that cannot shackle a strong personality, hindering it from developing, achieving its goals, and remaining strong. It seems that the volcano of heavy, unformatted rock has truly gotten out of hand here.

‘Manual’ opens insistently, powerfully, brightly, inviting me into a true rock universe. Here the dark side of rock unfolds, in quite an ironic and entertaining manner. The gloomy fun turned out to be quite powerful, rich, and full of genuine emotions that you truly want to feel on your own skin. In this track the music combines with a rich, striking sound that unfolds incredibly beautifully. The gloomy romance brought me an incredible mood, and I turned on the next track.

The track ‘Time’ opened with an incredible ode, overflowing with hidden protest, making you fight dark entities under the cover of a rainy night. Who will win this battle by candlelight remains unknown. The atmosphere heats up under roaring guitars and rich music, making you act, believe in your own strength, power, and confidence in your own victory over the forces of darkness.

The closing track of the album, ‘Waiting for the World to Shine’, surprised me with its dynamism. A final battle of light over darkness, victory, radiant forces making you believe in yourself, your own power, and faith in something better. I incredibly loved this track. It made me feel the energy of a storm that is gradually forced to submit and retreat. A true stream of icy wind that you fight not merely to survive, but to triumph. Everyone who is used to winning will feel its power.

Having listened to the album, I was delighted: classic rock in its primordial form struck me straight to the heart. This is what so many people dream of right now: unmasked protest, the taming of wild elements, regardless of rain, sun, and the inner strength that conquers everything weighing on the soul. To those who dream of achieving success, I would advise them to absorb its power: it awakens inner energy, faith in something better, the ability to fight, to win, and to achieve everything that helps you do what you love.

If you miss wild, unbridled rock music that does not flash across every chat, then I advise you to listen to the album from beginning to end. Hidden here is a great power, an unbridled energy that risks reviving rock anew, turning it into a trend opposite to slicked-down glamor. This is pure music without embellishment, tuning you in to sincere self-expression that pulls you in harder than a can of coffee.

Hi! Thank you for releasing such amazing music. I got incredible pleasure from listening and you know, this is truly the kind of music that stays in your memory long after listening. Every track is special, a great deal of effort and work was put into it and you can feel it. I will definitely show your release to everyone, let them listen to such wonderful music too. I love this and I want more! I love this and I want more! Yeahhh
