Zaragoza six-piece ZIRO bring an unusually broad instrumental palette to Spanish indie rock. Guitars share their musical vocabulary with saxophone and flute, while heartfelt lyrics and powerful choruses keep the songwriting accessible. “Todo Arde” introduces the band’s current chapter, following the stylistic exploration of their 2024 debut, “Falso Techo.” Their aim now is greater focus, supported by more polished production.

Saxophone and flute add an interesting dimension to that setup. Alongside the guitars, they give ZIRO considerable scope to develop a distinctive group sound, particularly as their production becomes more polished. “Todo Arde” belongs to this more focused chapter, following a debut that allowed the band to explore different musical approaches. The attraction here is the combination of ambition and experience. Six musicians with a substantial history onstage have plenty to draw upon, and this next phase gives their emotional songwriting and instrumental character a clearer sense of purpose.
