Nearly Skulls Release New Single “Wear The Scars”

“Wear The Scars” by Nearly Skulls is a pinch of melancholy that gradually turns into joy. At first glance, Nearly Skulls present a typical sound. Standard, slightly minor-key indie rock, and a voice reminiscent of the hippies of the ’60s and ’70s. It works well on its own, though you want more, and the band took that into account.

The sad mood is gradually and very carefully mixed with joyful notes. And this growing sense of joy brings a feeling of hope, of light at the end of the tunnel. The sound effects add depth. A simple beat-driven section in the second half works especially well here, creating a sense of gathering strength before a fresh start.

There are plenty of guitar riffs, and they create different sensations, even when they take some time to catch on the first listen. Perhaps, at certain moments, the musicians were simply showing their command of the guitar.

Nearly Skulls managed to create a sense of closeness with the listener. A suitable choice for those who need something personal, something that pulls them out of a gloomy mood while remaining engaging.
