Mission Creep have presented their second album, ‘Tonight, Delirium. Tomorrow, Tremens.’, and this is one of those cases where a return after years sounds like a continuation of an already well-established artistic identity of the musicians. After ‘On the Sea of Suns’, which received recognition for its bold fusion of rock and psychedelia, Mission Creep delved deeper into the process, stretching the creation of the new album over years of improvisations, jams, and rethinking of the recorded material. That is why we now have such a conceptually rich 10-track album, ‘Tonight, Delirium. Tomorrow, Tremens.’

At the core of the album lies the idea of “out-of-time”, working outside linear time. Here, older recordings coexist with newer ones, while the project’s geography expands through international collaborations, including Germany’s Marcel Reginatto on reeds, Norway’s legendary drum powerhouse Ted Parsons (PRONG, Godflesh, Swans), and Boston’s bass phenom Ken Maurais.
It is interesting that ‘Tonight, Delirium. Tomorrow, Tremens.’ noticeably shifts toward jazz, dub and a noir atmosphere. The echoes of mid-’60s soul-jazz are still heard here, but they are merging with sharp electronics and psychedelic distortions. I recommend it!
