Spencer Krug (Wolf Parade) presented a new indie rock album ‘Same Fangs’, which came out today, May 15, on the label Pronounced Kroog. ‘Same Fangs’ appears at an interesting moment. The matter is that attention to the artist has again intensified after the track ‘I’ll Believe in Anything’ received a second life thanks to HBO Max and Heated Rivalry. However, behind Krug there are already more than two decades of work and an impressive legacy through Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, Moonface, and solo projects, which in total have gathered hundreds of millions of listens.

The album was written and recorded on Vancouver Island, and this is felt almost physically: in the sound there is moist air, the silence of small towns, a sense of slowed time. This is music born in the intervals between everyday life — family, routine, loneliness. Such a context gives the record a special intimacy and inner strength, which is felt with every listening. Perfect!
