This week brought a new track worth discovering: “Stream of Dreams” by ØZWALD. Genre-wise it’s dreampop with a psych-indie texture, but the duo, it seems, managed to take it beyond the niche.
The single “Stream of Dreams” is the first herald of their upcoming album Strange Thoughts, which will be the eighth studio release of this American duo.
The arrangement of the track stands out: everything sounds extremely cohesive and organic. There’s not a single unnecessary detail, but there is an enveloping sound, orchestral arrangements, and a very sincere, warm delivery from the vocalist.
The guitars are gorgeous. They’re rich, voluminous, but at the same time not overwhelming at all. The rhythm section sets a pleasant, even somewhat lulling groove, under which listeners just want to close their eyes and finally rest, from everything, from the hustle and hardships.
